Philosphy
Our coop is deeply dedicated to the land and to the principle of cooperative living.
Our goal is to improve the quality of life of our
members and their families, and our community as a whole. It
is a difficult task though. Since the 1990 elections many of the
changes implemented during Sandinista era have been reversed. Many
cooperatives have been forced to close and sell off their land due to
outstanding bank loans. We too have loans. However, with our diverse
sources of income and through our collective efforts, we will be able
to pay them off.
We welcome your assistance in many forms, such as donations of money, equipment, or labor. If you see other opportunities to assist us, please don’t hesitate to contact us. We want to remain a healthy, growing cooperative, and we welcome you to share in our experience.
